Any soccer fans?

futbol?? I enjoy kicking around a ball, but can't get into watching it... 2hours of game time and a 0-1 score?? *yawn*

X2... Except I can appreciate what they do on the field. My 12 year old daughter plays Club Soccer. Up until her first practice, I thought Soccer was sport of no skill.......... BOY WAS I WRONG! There is so many tactics to the game and the physical shape you need to be in to play the sport is nuts Lol.

Still can't watch a full game... Tried watching the Chivas, Barcelona, manchester, england etc... still have trouble.

I will say I enjoy watching the spanish channel most cause they get into it w/the "GGGggooOOOaaaAAAAALLLLLLLLLL" thing haha.

Yeah, I mean no disrespect, they are AMAZING athletes with some crazy skills, I could probably watch a soccer-skill exhibition all day long (similar to a dunk contest), but just that loooong game with so few "action" moments I can't do it.
 
I've played my whole life and always had an issue with watching games that weren't big tournaments like the World Cup, Euro, or the Champions League. I'm from right outside of Philadelphia and we just got the MLS team the Union two years ago. Now I hated watching the MLS because I think there's a lot of overreaction but I went to a game it was life changing. The atmosphere is second to none I've been to flyers, sixers, and eagles games and non compare. It's real unique so I started to get into European soccer with Bayern Munich and I'll watch whatever game I can get my hands on. Some games have their dull spots but it just takes getting used too.

I used to love playing but never enjoyed watching. Right now I can't stand the game due to years of ESPN trying to sell the sport to Americans.
 
I also can't stand the high number of players that "exaggerate" their injuries in the hopes that the Refs will make a call in they're favor...

Exaggeration happens in every team sport. Soccer just has its own brand of exaggeration.
My wife hated when I would watch games on TV, until I took her to one. Now she sits right beside me for the whole two hours.
