i know i've seen a few videos on youtube of asian aros breeding in tanks. has anyone here ever had a successful breeding and fry?

From what i've ever seen or read it's not realy gonna happen. Unless you have some kind of redicuosly huge tank, And i mean redicuously large. And i still don't think they will breed in them. I have done exstensive research on such. And alot of people on here have to. And this subject has been brought up more then once on here. And from any thing on here i've read no one on here has had such luck. YOu probaully have seen how they breed them in asian exct in those huge pounds that are like 25 long by like 16 wide or bigger. Not a easy task by any means. Reason being huge prices for them plus the small number or fry you recieve un like other fish exct. OUt of curiousity what arows do you wanta breed.

Thats really controversial because alot of those video you see but i dont know i think the egg are not fertile but you can prove me wrong. I saw that one clip of the rtg in the tank with its fries but i dont know if they capture it from the pond and put it in the tank...

sorry if this link is a repeat. i should've done a search. i dont plan on breeding any aro. i've just videos of asian aros breeding [this includes eggs popping out and male mouth brooding the eggs]. i just wonder if the eggs are fertile and if they became fry.

here's the link im talking about:

unless this is the huge 25x16' pond. you can hear jungle noises though. haha! i can only see a corner and it looks like a tank to me.

Hightimez, the poster on youtube is also a member here. there is a huge thread were he answers all questions somewhere on here.

very fortunate. and there have been cases of aros breeding in home tanks.
