any suggestions for empty 55 gallon?

I recently posted a thread in the cichlids forum about what I should put in a 55 gallon tank that will soon be available to me. I got great suggestions as far as cichilds go, but I was curious as to what options I might consider for other types of fish. I definitely want something with a mean streak and of a decent size, but which will be able to live comfortably in the tank even at full size. Any non-cichlid suggestions? thanks

If you need a predator I would think a couple of the smaller speices of pihrana would fill your needs I'm sure of the speices not a big P fan but if its something you like the info will come .
