Any suggestions on food for SD's

Just got 3 red hooks and 2 black bars. I've mainly kept predatory fish past ten yrs, besides my SW tank. They in tank with 4 dats that eat Massivore pellets. Looking for some suggestions on food for my SD's. Kno algae wafers occasionally, but is there any specific kind of pellets, dry/frozen foods u guys would suggest?

I feed mine nls sinking pellets, algae wafers, bloodworms, shrimp. Bottom line is that they will eat anything you put in tank pretty much. Just maintain a variety of stable diet and you will be fine. Nls is their stable diet for me. Just don't expect to keep live plants with them because they will eat them. I have 10 growing out right now in my 75 until next month and I get my 350 for their new home.

Lol, I almost bought some live Plants a months ago, but ended up buying some nice looking faux ones instead. Good thing :) I do a spirulina brine and mysis on hand I feed to my SW fish. I can look up, but thought id just ask here quik, those nls pellets, those just a small vegi based pellet?

NM, I found the nls pellets. Sure alot cheaper than the Massivore pellets I feed my datnoids. Those get spendy, think between dats n my dog I spend more $ on food for on them than myself!!! Thanks for your suggestions on diet, appreciate it :)

Just got a bottle of NLS, and my Red Hooks went crazy for it...was feeding my Datnoids their daily massivore pellets, and my black bars went for those. Each ate a pellet. Never would hav thought they'd eat Massivore lol

I stopped keeping SDs because they're favorite food was by FAR any live plants that I had in my tank. lol. Other than that, they were very fond of krill and anything Hikari that floated.
 
I almost bought some live plants a month ago, but decided to go with no nice looking faux ones. Glad I did, cause kno my SD's would've picked them apart in no time!

One of my black bars been chowing down a massivore pellet everytime I feed my dats. He don't want anything else. Not sure if good, but if works on him like my dats, he gonna b a big buff black bar!!!

like what Paulbearer said, they eat anything you give them, i've seen mine go for fish poo!
