:feedback: is there any easy way to clean a tank. this is what i do: i empty the tank of all water take out all the substrate, all the ornaments all the fish(not in this order)wash and clean everything even the tank and then put everything back in fill ti up and let run for about 2-3 hours.

is there an easier way

just do a gravel vac and water change....scrub the glass with the water and fish in it.....maintain your filters....youre lucky you arent killing your fish man lol

What kind of filtration do you have running in there?
Try not to clean everything at once, just like with multiple filters, you lose some colonies of bacteria when you clean them out and shouldnt do it all at once, or your ammonia will spike.

Get a gravel vac. I remmomend a Python. Basically hit every area of your substrate once every few weeks and you'll be alright in most cases.

Amen unhappiest!!! I know a lady who has done that for years. Her fish are very healthy. It goes against everything we are taught.

you are neturlizing a large amount of host bacteria that settle on the glass and ornaments follow the posts made vacuum the substrate clean the glass with water in the tank and remove max 50 percent of the water 30 percent recommended weekly make sure you use clorine and chloramine remover with that new water -add enough to treat the entire tank
