Hi there, i will setup a new aquarium in my living room, its a bow front of 92 gallons, but im undiced about what kind of african cichlids should i put, i wish to have one species tank, what do you recomend?'
I keep 1-6" tiger Oscar and 3 S/A Cichlid in a 70 gal. I made sure the Cichlid have a large cave to hide in. So far, the Oscar is the only bully and the 3- Cichlids stay away. They are keeping to themselves, O's on the left, and Cichlids on the right with the caves. When it's time to eat, they all come up in the middle.
what do you like? you want a few big fish or a ton of little fish? ive always wanted to do a small species tank like demosani or shell dwellers. a ton of little personable fish! just imagine feeding time
I had a mixed tank of Mbuna and Peacocks/Haps. Even though that are from the same lake, I like them much better in different tanks. Not only are the fish acting different (better) but I am able to match their diet to their needs. I would go with either ---in my opinion you can not go wrong. I am totally hooked on Africans.
