any SW sunfish in an aquarium?

Not the ocean sunfish. I'm not THAT stupid.
My brother really loves these guys, but the smallest relative (the linear sunfish) is 1.5m long and 1m high. Naturally, we would be one of the first to try this, but approx, how many gallons would that kind of fish need? (not like I could get it anytime soon) but 1k gallons? could that work if there weren't any decorations?

you're looking at pima sized tank

planktonovores generally need larger tanks thank other fish their size
same reason a 3 foot shovelnose fish needs like 5K gallons
