I rescued a 14" er from a local having his house fumigated last week. He is very docile for a tilapia from what I have researched. I have seen no signs of aggression except towards the pellets I've been feeding him. I put some feeders in with him and got no response. He's currently in my 240 frontosa tank with 6 adult fronts and a couple other fish that I rescued from the same guy (there was this guy a 12" scat, 20" CK, 10" green severum and a 10" frontosa all in a 100 G)
Like I said before I have seen no aggression from him however I am concerned about the welfare of my fronts as some are wild caught and the rest are F1s. My frontosa are worth a lot more to me both in sentimental value and money and I'm afraid that down the line he might have a bad day snap and ruin my collection of frontosa.
If anyone at all is interested in helping out a friend I have another post with pictures and price here: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=319135
Let me know what you guys think.
I really want him gone before something happens. I like to error on the side of cation.
If not I heard they make good tacos but I don't really wanna go down that road haha (He is too large for any of my LFS)
Thanks a lot for your time and good luck with your fish keeping
