Just got a 1.5” young Congo Puffer any tips on feeding. I purchased some small red wigglers is there anything else? I have kept one before but he was larger and got him to eat shrimp from a tong but went on strike after a couple of months and I traded him in and one of the employees got him and was feeding him ghost shrimp and said he was eating. I have gained more experience since then so hoping for better results.

Mysis makes a good snack for small puffers.

I would suggest adding a lot of hard decor and hardy plants, like java ferns and anubias etc. They need hiding spots, and places to explore. If you do this, they will be much more comfortable, and feeding responses may improve. They also require a substrate that they can bury themselves in. I can't really tell how coarse the gravel is, but being able to bury themselves is an important part of their care.
I feed a lot of frozen bloodworms, mine seems to only want to eat things that are red. I mean, it's to the point where I'm about to break out the food coloring to get him eating a more varied diet.
