Hi guys im looking at buying some polypterus from REHOBOTH aquatics(Toyin) and was wondering how to organise pick up and wether i will get stung for more money at customs etc and any other problems i may encounter,a mate has an import license but never ordered from the us,any help appreciated.

The seller will also have to have an export license or you stand a good chance of US FWS (fish and wildlife service) and or Customs intercepting the package before it leaves the USA.

My opinion is, not being a certified importer, to forget it. US burocracy ( in terms of Fish and Wildlife ) is even worse than Europe's.

A couple of friends of mine are waiting for something from a breeder, for more than a year.

They bought babies, will get adults.

My mates dad owns his own aquatics so thats who im using to bring them in but didnt know if customs or whoever would put money on top as i recently bought a part for my ducati and it cost me another £40 on top of the $60 i paid and just dont want to get stung bad if its on a percentage of the goods as it will be alot more than $60 lol

I think you might be better off ordering something from Germany. There are many good dealers and breeders there and if your dad owns his own shop he will probably be able to get stock lists from the big wholesale companies.

Its not my dad by the way but i have got a contact for the german market, but he said no chance for PBB which toyin is the only place i know who have them, unless anybody can tell me otherwise.
Thank for the help so far though chaps.
