any was to increase flow through this sump?

I have a 55 gallon swirl filter moving into a 40 breeder media chamber that flows to a 40 breeder return. Is there any way to increase flow through my 40 breeder media chamber by modifying the outputs? If not I will just have to drill it again

Add siphon hose over the frame.

If their not pulling at a full silent siphon, maybe adding more pipe, on the drain side. To increase suction gravity force.

building on that idea. the pvc is 1.5 inch if I add a 1.5 to 2 inch adapter will this increase flow having a wider opening funneling in?

I would say so

Take out the sponge and the PVC pipe from the other sump. Thats restricting flow as well

A little, but the more suction head you can pull the better,as it, will drastically improve flow.
