anybody ever hear of an electric ray?

anybody ever keep an electric ray aka atlantic torpedo? just curious!

Electric rays = saltwater. I've seen some small ones in exotic fish stores. Very cool as youngsters, but are butt ugly as adults.

There's also video that I saw from discovery that I'm sure you could find of one shocking a fish.

all i know is that its saltwater and can reach up to 5ft.

it was mentioned in one of my students library books and i thought it sounded pretty neat.

maybe somebody could post a pic?

If I recall correctly, there are a few species as well, located in the Atlantic, Pacific, etc. I'm more of a freshwater guy.

I think they are pretty cool looking when they get bigger. My LFS actually got a prenent female in before, about 10in and she gave birth to two still born pups. If I was into saltwater, I would give my hand at keeping one.
