Anybody ever keep stingrays and an Oscar together?

I have had a 13-14" Oscar with my rays for quite a while now and never had an issue. The rays are smaller than the Oscar at only 7-8" disk

I had an albino Oscar with my hystrix trio, and no issue really....I saw him "push" them out of his territory once in a great while, but never bite.....

I've been keeping four 10"+ Oscars in with a trio of adult Motoros. No problems as yet.
Sounds good.
Wouldn't do it. Trade the Oscar for a discus. Or even angels.

Discus and angels would become sushi. Lost 3 smaller datnoids that way. Think an oscar is more robust. Id hate to lose a nice discus as they are pricey. My rays are already 8" and 11". Maybe if I had pups tho...

My worry would be the large oscare messing with the rays. Looks like ill be fine then. Thanks

im suprised that people still keeping discus with rays as ive allways thought they were prone to eating the rays eyes. Ive come accross several threads saying the same since i saw a blind tiger ray that was previously kept with discus saying the same.

that said i would expect that any fish could do the same damage but maybe some are more prone than others.

i personally do like oscars, along with a few others that i wont mention. but if it helps, i once kept an oscar with my ray years ago and at first it was fine but then the ray tried to eat the oscar but it was too big. ive seen this happen and had this happen with a few fish. if the rays cant actually eat it they have bitten the fins off and eaten the fishes eyes. ive seen this and euthanased fish because of the damage. I even have a silver aro jump out of a tank with a lid because it was kept with a ray.

i think there used to be a guy on here who had an avatar of a large gar being pinned against the glass by a ray ?

my old gar still occasionly gets pinned and turns up frequently with blooded fins but he does well and keeps out of the way :)

good luck :)
