I have three FX5's on my 600 gal. These filters are so powerful, I guess the only question is how big of a spray bar do you want? Keep in mind that these filters shut themselves off (I think every 24 hours?).

I'd go with a 1 inch pvc and maybe 4-6 1/4 inch holes every foot you might have to adjust how many holes you put in it cuz the fx5 is super powerful. i had a few and luvd em. planning to use 2 on a cutom 360 soon as i inclose my patio. let us know how it goes and add sum pics if possible

I thought most, if not all, canisters came with a spray bar as a return?

yea most canister come with a spray bar the fx5 comes with a dual nozzle output so you can direct current, interested in this thread picking up one for my 125 this weekend
