Anybody ever ruptured and ear drum?

Anyone? Any help? Tips? Was told to leave it alone completely for a couple days so it can begin healing, but it's hurting BAD! I Thai box and this is still the most painful thing i can remember....ever.:irked:
 
Ive ruptered mine like 3 times when surfing and 3 times from massive ear infections due to surfing. Usually only hurts till it bursts then its just a dull ache.
 
Leave it alone and stay out of the water.....

Yeah what he said.

I burst it twice. Once from diving into water and another time from getting punched in the ear.
 
this is off topic but today i was snorkeling at the jetties and went through a little tunel looking thing with sponges on the sides of it... and there were pistol shrimp inside some so when i bumped one with the side of my mask a pistol shrimp snapped right in my ear! its still ringing! those are loud little buggers
 
So i just realized I blew out my ear the day after our birthday party for Helen Keler...Bad luck or does karma have a sense of humor as sick as mine?
 
Go to the Doc...They might give you an ear wick..They will definitely give you some good drops, and some pain meds to get through it all.
