I'm just wondering if anyone here has ever had any luck keeping one of these guys. I hear nothing but bad things about them. There has to be some good stories out there...
haha yeah these guys are really hard to keep. They are not friendly al all and get spooked easily. Its never seemed to work out for me in the past. They always try to strike and there hard to keep in a tank.
One of the most ticked off snakes i ever caught growing up. May look like a blacksnake but it aint. wow are they mean. cant just handle them. Gota hold the head whole time and tret it like a venomous snake. Or the bastards will bite the hell out of you. Other wise there easy to keep. Just keep bricks on top the cages. make shore no escapes i had them over 5 foot long befor
Yeah nothing really difficult about keeping them. 75-85F, normal maintenance and feeding appropriate sized feeders should work fine. They're snakes to be looked at and admired, not handled.
