Anywayz im in the blue print of building my plywood 1000 gallon. im on the website as i was told it would help me every step of the way. but its already givin me sh1t, sayin that i cant do the dimensions that i want because i want it to be TOO TALL for the legnth (4 ft tall & 11 ft long) and ive tried every dimension i can think of that will add up to 100 gal but it says "WE DONT RECOMMEND THAT" or "U MUST MAKE IT SHORTER". IM like wtf CAN i do? so if any of you know a better website to use other than garf or maybe give me some dimensions that will properly house a full grown rtc and pacu that will add up to 100 gallaon it would be highly appreciated. Thank you!

lol he's talking about the tank calculator on garf.com

forget that thing it's only made for all glass aquariums and is limited by a certian thickness.

at any rate post here what you want to do and we can recomend a thickness for your front panel of glass.

anywayz thats what i was trying to figure out on garf but they wouldnt let me do the dimensions i want! im wantin something aroun, 4ft tall, 5 1/2 ft wide and 10 ft long! the only reason i really need garf is theylle tell me EXACTLY what materials i need and how to do it. if i can get part theyre bullsh1t recommendations!

What they're not telling you is that their plans do not scale up indefinetely. You're apparently exceeding the limits of the design. Past a certain point, materials get thicker, closer together, ect.

I've played with that thing once and yeah it won't let you mess with huge tanks. So forget it. and ask around here. If you're doing plywood with a glass front all you need to know is what thickness of glass you'll need for the front panel.

and at 11'x4' it's going to be a huge thick piece of glass. I'm going to venture a guess at 1.5" thick at least. and you might have a hard time finding one of that size.
