I'm not sure if I've ever seen a picture of a large veil-finned oscar. All the huge ones I see seem to be the albinos or tigers but not the long dangly finned variety.

Do they not grow as big?

Please feel free to post pics if you've got one.

Some NICE videos of these on youtube.

All I found was some dumb guy feeding goldfish to his. And it wasn't THAT big.

Could you link some? I tend to find these guys more impressive than normal oscars, except some of the WC ones.

I just bought my dad a small albino one yesterday. Give us a few months and we'll see where it's at. :)

Nice! I really dig these fish. I had one at like 4'' but I stupidly let it get its fins destroyed by a 1'' Fahaka, and sadly it never recovered.

Please update as it grows!

Here's a (terrible) shot of my dad's in his quarantine tank. It's an active little fish!

Even though he's moving about you can see his fin is like the same length as his body. That'll look awesome when he's big.

My Oscar is an albino( his colors are showing now that he is bigger and very pretty with the orange markings and white background. I don't think hi is a true albino. that is what the pet store billed him as when he was 2 1/2 inches. He is now over 13" a beautiful veil - finned Oscar. He is lookinjg for a larger Optimized-Oscar4.JPGOptimized-Oscar3.JPGhome that I can't provide. His tank is 90 gal. He needs space to swim and jump. If you are interested he is for free to a warm large home. Susie

a 90 gallon is ideal IMO

This is my old Oscar, also an old crappy picture but the only one I could find. This Oscar reached about 14" without the extra length of the tail
