Anybody have more than 1 Flagtail prochilodus?

I had 3 of them in my tank and 2 eventually died.. and my friend also had 3 and 2 died too.

i'm starting to think you can only have one in a tank because i noticed they fight when there is food present.

can anyone chime on in this?

I have heard this too, so it seems only one or maybe 6 or more.

nope just one I have heard of people starting with 8-9 and ending up with 1...

I've had a total of 10. I currently have 4. One yellow tail(4") and 3 redtail(2X14" and 7"). I keep each one seperated. They do ok at first together but after awhile the dominant one will pick on the others till death.

Guess I am lucky, I have 4 all different sizes that get along pretty good. Been together for a few years now.

I've tried starting with 4, but eventually ended up with one. Although you would'nt think it, they can be pretty mean to each other.

i have 2 at 14-16". Not sure on max size. I think one of the vendors was selling some at 2'
