I thought I had a green sunfish until he busted out with red on his gill flap. Now I've been looking on google at pics of both, and he looks mostly like a green, except for the dang red on the gill. It's a very pale, orange-ish crescent, as if only partially presenting. His face and fins are far more like a green, so could it be a 1/4 hybrid from a fertile hybrid parent and a green? Just grabbing straws. I'll try to get a pic, though he is washed out since going to the bare-bottom tank.
