it is difficult to get a flower ray or tiger ray to eat pellet food. they are very choosy, i found it difficult even to convert them to prawn. their most favorite food is worm. good luck.....
Mine eats anything and is extremely aggressive. Had it with a P14 and Leo for over a year and it never had a problem with food. I really just got lucky though cause first it ate shrimp very easily and them tipapia and pellets. never turned them down and another reason I would never sell this guy
I have had my Flower Rays and all of my rays on pellets for the last 3 years. They seam to like the Hakari pellets, put them in the tank at the same time you put in worms. After a time they will start eating them.
my old 6" tiger ray was on pellets 2 months after coming in to country.... mike broke it on to shrimp and 3 weeks after i brought it home it was eating massivore and carnivor pellets...
i have found it easier to get rays on pellets by putting them with other rays that are already on pellets..new born captive bred are easy to get on pellets and they make great teachers for w/c rays to get on pellets..hikari sinking carnivore works best for me to start with..
