My alpha male Moba has this pimple like sore and it seems to come and go, looking for an ID and treatment. The tank is a 180 with a colony of Moba Fronts, colony of Jumbo Cyps, Galaxy Pleco and a Syno Eupterus. The tank is filtered by 2 FX5's and get a 50% water change every week. He is the only one that has this and from what I have read it can be come for older Fronts to contract this. image.jpgimage.jpg

Looks like early stage Hex.

Found it, my question is why would it go away and then come back and never get worse. It's like a pimple it pops and goes away and then it comes back, it's like there is root always in the same spot.

Hexamita a flagellate protozoan that effects the intestines and spreads. Treat with API General Cure (metro/prazi) dose the tank as recomended and use one additional pack as a food soak. Uesing just enough water to disolve the food and soak some pellets for about 10 -15 mins. then dump the whole thing into the tank and let the fish eat it.

Have metro on hand will soak food and feed and then treat with Epsom salt, why only him. He is the only male and that tank I put before my Tropheus.

Some stressor my have triggered it. It is most likly present in all the fish but this one's immune system isn't fighting it off.

While doing a water change I got the bright idea to net the big guy and take a closer look. It popped out just like a pimple or black head, he's not talking to me at the moment lol.
This is what came outimage.jpg
