Found a Pic online, and really want to purchase atleast a couple of them? anybody know of any places preferably online that will ship to Massachusetts, Or even any in New England that I could go to, to find lots of Pike? Thanks all...

Actually that picture is of a female Crenicichla marmorata 'rio tapajos'...my fav. variation of marmorata out there...just awesome. Pretty freakin hard to find..haha. However, Rapps does get them, as well as several other variants of marms. check out www.tangledupincichlids.com ...aka Jeff Rapps. His Crenicichla list is over flowing right now...from Red atabapos, tapajos red, strigata to acustirostris..he has them right now. Pretty descent prices. hes located in New Jersey as well...;) So that would work out perfectly for you cuz the shippin would be less. Also check out www.aquabid.com in the SA cichlid part...a seller by the name of Fish Farm always has some sort of pike in there. Ken is a great guy...recommend him too.
 
Peanut i thought that the 'rio tapajos' was the red colored pike? not the blue colored one such as the one pictured above? thanks for your time peanut...
 
NO...'rio tapajos' is just the region of collection in this case. Your thinkin of tapajos red...;)....totally different pike. The one you posted is a variant of marmorata. Pikes are just like pbass in the fact that their coloration varies widely depending on where they are collected from. This species, collected from 'rio tapajos'...are really nice.
 
I would check Boston first. My daughter picked up my Johanna for me in Chinatown last October or November. They may not have anything, but since you are right their. The store is Aqua World Aquarium Across from the China Pearl restaurant. My daughter said she thought the guy understood about 10 words in English and the lady none. They understood the green dollars though.
 
down here in the n.o. lfs has one for $200 at 12-14" very nice looking been ther for three months because i nor my brother has the tank space or wallet size for it!!!! but one day:swear: :thumbsup: :headbang2
 
i don't know what variety but taz has a pic of it and i will try this weekend to get a fresh pic for id!
