Anybody own marbled crawfish?

I have two of them and had them both try and self clone at least 3 times. Each time to start, they have tons of eggs and I wait awhile and make sure they get food. When I decide to look again, I notice they have like 5 eggs left and they are dead and orange... tank 10 gallons and is properly maintained. What am I doing wrong...
