anybody tried mix of white and black sand?

I have my bichirs in black sand right now. Now, the contrast of my weeksii and lap have pretty much disappeared. I know some recommend red+black, but I cant find red sand here (philippines). Im wondering whether black + white sand would look good?

It works but looks better with more red, but still you should get some contrasts showing

Do you have any pics on how it looks like? It's gonna be impossible to redo it once they get mixed.
Also, will silica sand increase the pH?

I have not mixed with white but my sand is more like playsand but more to red, personally I would go with playsand instead of white.

Thanks for all the replies. I tried mixing white sand. Here's how it looks. I didnt mix it very well, just gonna wait for their movement to mix it up.

Dude, that looks like green wood. If it is, you are asking for trouble.
