Will be moving 10 tank raised PB that are about 5 inches with a bunch of medium sized wild Heckels from Brazil.

Any body tried mixing this two South American fishes in an Aquarium?

I haven't tried it, but I think the constant movement of all the pbass and there agressive eating habbits would really stress the discus out. IMO I wouldn't do it.

agreed, discus get no food:(

I wouldn't do it...

The peacock bass will destroy the discus. IMO the peacocks will eat kill them in a couple days tops unless the tank is just absolutely huge and there is a ton of swimming space, I suppose its possible; I've seen discus kept with stingrays and arowanas so who knows... Wouldn't recommend it though unless you don't mind losing the discus ~Trent

Not likely to happen. The Discus are much bigger than the Peacock Bass.

Also, I'm tired of having to clean up the PB tanks when I feed them dry foods like Krill or freeze dried brine shrimp. There's always leftovers. Hopefully the Discus will take care of the leftovers.

The 10 PB I'm about to move, have outgrown the couple of tanks they are in. Might move them in with my Altums which are in a bigger tank than the Discus and also have no trouble finishing off dry foods.

I don't aggression is a problem but more of the discus not getting enough food.

They go with the Altums then which can go after food much faster than the Discus but just as big. This is temporary until I can get the PB their own big tank.

Got to do it as I have more PBs growing up that will end up being feeders if moved with the bigger PBs.

Don't have to now!.:)

Just picked up 8 tanks from an importer who's replacing hundreds of their warehouse setups.:D

$5 each with overflow compartment.:woot:
