So there is no payment othrr than the usage over 20 years?I'm here in Cen Cal and my dad just got some on his house. There are a few companies out here that install them and charge you for the amount of electricity you use just like any other energy company except that they charge about half the amount per kw. Then after 20 years you own the panels and they don't charge you anymore. So it's kinda like a 20 year loan but you only pay for how much you use it.
The maintenance is easy, just spray them off once a month to get the dust off.

That doesn't make business sense. If true you're getting the panels for free
Was there a huge installation fee? Is there a separate monthly charge to pay for the panels?

Wonder if this is common practice to get people to invest in the technology, I know I'm not forking over $10k today when it will take 5-10 years just to break even. I did a job at fermi national laboratory where we retrofitted a few thousand t12 magnetic ballast fixures to t5s with solid state ballasts. They did they math as to yearly savings and for ten years the engineering firm will be paid the savings. No other payment or fees, no installation cost to you. And if you make more power than you use your local electric company gives you a credit for it just like if you had bought the panels outright. It's quite the deal. A lot of ppl out here are doing it.
