Never heard of the stuff, but then again, imagine how much stuff is out there.
Found a review on about.com for the Top 6 Nitrifying Bacteria
Listed as #1 and everyone has to start somewhere. See if they give a warranty and give it a try. $4.95 per 25g isn't bad. I might try it out as well. But I read about the need for fish at the same time as adding this product? Seems odd.
Eh, good luck.

I think they say that because it makes people think their tank is completely safe now and they want to buy it. However no company can promise that so it does seem a little bit odd. I'll order like 150 gallons worth and give it a try on some new setups i am putting up. Although they say 5 year shelf life? Without even refridgeration? That also seems a little wierd. Heck if it works I'll order tons of it and with a 5 year shelf life why not. Oh and that top 6 list seems a little wack. NO WAY should Hagen Cycle even be on the top 20 let alone top 6. It is such a big waste of money. Tried it many times to see if different results will occur and all the same 4 week cycle as a normal cycle without the product would take.

It is not 4.95 per 25 gallons of chems from them, it is 4.95 for the amount of product it takes to treat 25 gallons. I have never tried it but I still say gimic.....

Well do you think BIO-Spira is a scam? I think I am just going to order that. Seems to be reliable by people with experience but that right now stuff look ok but not reliable.

Just cycle the right way. It is fast and fool proof. I do ammonia (my pee) for 3 to 7 days and then when my tank can clear it in a couple hours I start thinking fish. While floating the fish I seed the tank. With established sponges, ornaments, and substrate.......I know we get "antsy" but I make decisions based on the well being of my new Responsibilities. Good luck guys!
