I bought a little blue one at my LFS. He really cool. Keeps my tank nice and clean. Only downside is he catches and eats my little Tetras at night. Lol.. Anyone else have these little guys?

Look at the invertebrate forum, you will feel at home (also look at avatar)

the only downside is that they will eat fish and pick at bottom fish that are too big to be eaten

Not entirely true, mine only attack the ones that are half dead... (if a fish gets sick over night, it probably won't be there tomorrow, guess it saves money from not flushing the toilet.)

And they (mine atleast) don't bother bottem feeders, i have a 12 inch pleco living with my crays and they don't bother him unless he gets spooked and swims by them to fast... some times they even crawl on him.

Take good care of them, feed them right, and they will be a nice addition to a tank.

I still don't think it right to mix crayfish (except possibly the dwarf species) with any fish especially bottom dwellers regardless of various personal experiences. Just my opinion but as crayfish are predatory in nature, it does not make sense to mix them with fish knowing the crays will eventually ambush them.

I used to have one but learn from my mistake, make sure there are no holes in the lid for them to escape through. You'd be surprised at the Houdini stunts they can pull, I found mine dead in the closet.
