Iv been getting a bunch for my caiman den, and some have begun growing pups. Waiting for them to get bigger before I cut them off. But Iv realised I love these plants. Anyone else a fan? Any you like particular? Any web sites you buy from or only your local Lowes, Home Depot etc? Any particular way you care for them?

I have kept them before before but I have none currently.Home Depot usually carries a good selection of them in the summer.
I had a huge red one, but I left it outside during a rainstorm and rotted on the roots. Care is easy, as long as you make sure most of its water comes through the air and not the soil, but I think caimans need high humidity themselves ( not sure) so it should not be a problem.
My den is very humid thanks to 2 heated ponds. I just got 6 pups(babys) fron the mother plants and count at least 3 that where too small to cut free. I put 2 in my "trees".

My banna tree put off an offshoot but then the main tree died andd the off shoot grew faster than ever
As requested, pup thats too small the remove. Bottom right. Already cut one off, its my only yellow so thats good.
And two pups removed from mom. Both are red "fans". Dunno the sp names.

At the moment just Musa Dwarf Cavendish, in the Summer I will be getting a lot more though.
