I tried this. No its not a scam, however the money made was so little that it wasn't even worth my time.
It seemed that around 95% of the surveys I received, I couldn't take because I wasn't qualified for them. It took way to long to find surveys I could actually take and the payout was peanuts, at only $1-$3 for a half hour survey.
Supposedly over time websites will start sending surveys that you qualify for based on all your previous answers in other surveys, saving you time and making you more money but I never saw it. In about a month I made less then $15 CDN non of which I actually received because most if not all websites require you to earn a set amount of money before you can claim it.
Bottom line:
If you want to make money just work a steady job and if you want to take surveys to make a little money on the side prepare yourself for having no life and no free time what so ever.
