Anyone Benn to Pier Aquatics in uk?

I went to day to check there fish, They have some quality fish but alot are poorly kept in small tanks to crammed very nice fish. Anyone else been and what you think about there fish i was thinking of getting a nice wolfish but kind of got put of by the keeping of them.

i've heard they're a good place - got loads of oddballs in there but i've never been - too far away from me

Yeah been there a couple of times when i've been over that way. I agree they do have a lot of fish in a very small place but i've never seen anything wrong with their stock and never heard of anyone having problems with fish they've bought from there. They do have a lot of fish i've not seen anywhere else and even though my visits there are months apart a lot of the more large and expensive fish are still alive and kicking between visits despite being kept in tanks we'd all consider too small.

Remember, LFS tanks like that have a very high turnover of water and very good filtration so while tanks like that are technically too small, water quality for the fish isn't suffering as much as if it was customer trying to keep the fish in a similar sized tank at home.

Agree the fish do look healthy just wanted get some pointers anyone bought fish from there.... Because i dont wanna buy anything exspensive unless its good health they have some quality plecos!!!

Never bought from there because of the travelling distance, but would if i could. You're right they do have some amazing plecos!

and like i said, heard nothing but good reviews about the quality of the fish there......can't remember off the top of my head who's bought some though but they do sell a lot!

Mad some of the stuff they sell. you wouldnt think about getting anything like that over in the Uk

In what way do you mean poorly kept ?
Then you say they are in good condition and you will tell people about the place ?
Maybe they should ask someone who knows about the fish?
