im trying to build a good bmx racer but have no clue on whats the lightest,dorable and most important affordable parts. from the frame up... thanx

I use to ride BMX bikes for fun, but I never competed in it. I still have my DK Fury which was a decent bike at the time.
I never competed but I just held local contests for downhill racing. The contest rules were only GT and Specialized bikes. They had to be specifically for downhill racing or at least some what. We did contests on who could win a race and who gets the best time trials. The winner would win $200. It was fun but I haven't held one in like 2 years.
Go to danscomp.com, they have all the weight for almost every product. Redline is a pretty screwy bike IMO
