you need a light that only emits llight from one end of the tank across the top of the water not straight down

and there has to be alot of movement of the surface of the water to get the shadow effect

yea let me know, I tried one, and i couldnt get the effect. I am going to clean the light real good, and try anouther, just useing a pencil to poke holes in the foil.

I want to do the same thing but havent been to make it look right. I know if u suspend the lights and they r not the complete width of the top u can get shadowing effect on the sides. I would like to ck out the web sight if possible.

Why not out the foil over a moon light and try to get the effect at night. It would look more stunning IMO and be easier to do.
