Anyone else seen Fronts at your Petsmart??

they are actually replacing the Jacobfrieburgie (sp) Peacock. They are the new African for the next 3 months. There are no new SA/CA cichlids though which sucks, they brought back the stupid 4-line pictus instead. The other fish are, green-fire tetras, clown barbs, yo-yo loach, mickey mouse swordtails, and ballon belly platys.
 
Damnit, I hope I don't see any fronts there. I know the day I do it the day I'll likely buy them. Crap, now I gotta go to PetSmart.
 
I think Petsmart fishes mostly are overpriced, in my area:
Frontosa .50" - .75" = $25
BP 2" - 3" = $23
Red Snook 2" = 30

You are lucky, geting 2" - 3" Fronts.
 
They sell them at PetSmart and Petco (common burundi). I guess their supplier is a guy in Florida that does commercial breeding for them. He has Giant greenhouses and ponds. The chain store fronts can have split stripes and mooning but are perfect for people who want to keep them and not breed them for profit.

If you want contact info to buy WC or F1 Mobas, PM me. I bought three WC mobas from him and the quality is good. They are pricey though $185.00 for 5-7", plus the shipping, but they are good for breeding. You can also specify the M/F ratio that you want to get a good breeding trio or group going.
 
Been seeing them at my petsmart for about a year now, maybe 18 months.
they are mixed burundi type and mpimbwe type.
some look burundi, some mpimbwe, and all variations in between, meaning they are crossed.
i think the price was $24.99 for about 2 inchers, they sit awhile, not sure if they get bought or they die.
 
I saw some Fronts the other day, but not at Petsmart. They were about 2" and wanted $40. They are still there!
