Was thinking about this down the road. Main issue is loss of footprint/water volume with the built in filtration. Seems like you'd need to go 'oversize' to get the true volume. I saw on a Reefer SW site someone got a 50 gal but the real gal is 42...and that's empty!

They go up to "500" gallon I believe.

I've had a couple, a 75 and a 125. My thinking was having a clean setup with no protruding filters and saves a bit of space since you can pin the tank flush. But overall has 2 huge downside: loss of volume, hard to add extra filtration.

I don't see myself ever owning another unless it was a steal if a deal.

I like the looks of the pentagon style corner uniquariums. They just have all the filtration packed into the back corner. At one point i was designing one of the 120 pentagons as a corner tv stand. Only thing is that filter unit would be tough to reach for maintenance.

I have one and it’s pretty awesome. 6x4x4 so 700g model with 630g internal volume. Access is tougher than a bottom sump, but looks really clean since you don’t see anything. I’m running K1 and large sponge filters to churn in the back chambers. Let me know if you have any specific qs.

Cool. You use long tools for access to the back filtration? How much did yours cost when you got it? I've seen some really wild pricing for the biggest ones, up to 11k.

I have some pics up on this forum from when I set it up. I don’t ever have to access the bottom of the back after setting it up. The mechanical filter trays are at the top so I switch out the filter pads twice a week from the side with water changes. You’re dead on about the cost although I bought used. I requested a quote from TruVu and it was $11k.
