I was just listening to my favorite talk radio station of fringe topics and this was the topic.Besides the studio guest there were actually a few callers who claimed to have had the experience on a few occasions..Any MFKers ever have this,or what are your thoughts on it?
Anyone ever have an out of body experience?

I normally stay inside my own body. Occassionally i have out of body experiences in girls ;P

I had a false death experience once. There was no light or anything profound, I just slipped out of conscious existence for a few seconds to a minute, like sleep, but when I came to, I felt like I had just died, been out of existence for about a minute. It scared the hell out of me, I was too freaked out to talk to anyone for a few days. I felt like I didnt belong to the world anymore. It was really freaky. It still scares me every so often. Bad experience. not fun.
Large numbers of synapses firing at once could be the causes of light. Oxygen deprived hallucinations coupled with chemical reactions in the brain as a response to the unknown fear of death, add in subconscious memories of deceased loved ones and stories heard about NDE and you have an explanation.

I died for about two minutes once. It was similar to bottom feeder's experience. There was no light at the end of the tunnel just felt like a really bad dream.
