I should have learned that after my failure with the Wallace’s shoehead catfish but I’m still open to trying new things.

rare fish. no number. Reaches 16" but its slender....I might try one in my 180. If it goes for plants i can move to the 120. Its one of the rare plecos that prefers open sandy areas rather than caves and cover. Just what my 180 in lacking.

Spatuloricaria sp. Rio Naney "Tiger" is what they are selling I believe. Amazing and unusual.

I haven't had one specifically but have owned a number of the larger whiptails (chameleon, marble chameleon, spoon face, crying whiptails, ect.)
From my experience they won't touch your plants at all. Should be fine eating traditional prepared foods but they all loved worms as well.
Despite size, they likely won't compete well with larger fish so the calmer the tank the better.
All of mine have seemed to prefer sand bottom as well, some used to bury themselves.
