I'd like to preface this question with a disclaimer that I do not plan to do this, but I was wondering if anyone has ever clipped off the upper and lower lips of their piranha to reveal teeth permanently. Think it could be a pretty sinister look, but obviously poses risk of infection and undue cruelty to the fish though I doubt they would lose significant funtional ability.

The way I see it cutting a Ps lips off seems comparable to clipping a dogs ears or circumsizing a man. Is it necessary? Not really but its an option some people choose for whatever reason.

The realt question in my mind is HOW the procedure is performed. If someone went to circumsize me while I'm wide awake and give me no care whatsoever afterwards that's sick and twisted.

I have seen this done with mounted or taxidermied pirahna's. I have also seen this done to show there teeth for scientific purposes. I dont think this is a common practice, if keeping the fish alive is a concern.
