I can setup a mean fishtank but i don't have any experience setting up a live crab tank for a super market or restaurant. Someone just contracted me to set up a few and was wondering what's the best way to filter this type of tank. any feedback would be appreciated.

like blueclaw crabs?? awesome, i tried to convert one to freshwater.. he made it a few months. anyway how about a big sump??? blueclaw are pretty simple, just flow and air !! although it depends how big of a tank you are talking about. they make lots of waste, potent waste at that. be more specific !!!

Normally you would want a mechanical filter that uses a pleated cartridge like a pressure filter and a large chiller. The aquarium should be double walled to help better insulate it from heat loss.

again what type of crabs, the op did not specify. if they are indeed blue claw crabs you will not need to heat the water at all, they are a cold water crab
