Just wondering if anyone has ever tried to do the whole "tanning" method on silver arowana's....Just seems interesting to me. I know that this method is used on Red's but I wonder....Just maybe a hint of coloration, a certain hue of color can be achieved....Well, for those you who are not familiar. Here's a link.:D

Mistire, silver will be silver...forget it...give it some krill or shrimpo to try a little , very little red enhancement of the fins, if at all...
2cents of mine, anyway

respectfully disagree...with tanning and certain foods, a silver can be very well colored.

i think rally might have an example pic? anybody else got a pic to share?

i dissagree with miguel...

another member was tanning his super red aro, and has a jardini in the same tank. he said he even noticed his jar looking red after the tanning. i dont see why it wouldn't work. atleast even a lil

I have some tanning lights for my turtle :naughty: and have even noticed that my clown loaches seem brighter.

What is tanning? I have never heard of this.

Read the link above...

I tried this with a silver of mine. I got a nice deep pink to the fins and even more color in the body. I also fed lots of shrimp and krill so that probably played a role in it too.
