naw, they are relativly new. plus most folks here would need 3-4 of them for their tanks

I was going to use one for surface skimming, none of my tanks have overflows.

probably a good filter for a saltwater set-up. Wouldnt need surface skimming otherwise...

4x turnover for a small critter tanks not bad, but you are going to need more circulation to keep the bottom clean (extra powerhead).
