Anyone familiar with blogs?

Yes, I know MFK has its own blog, but its not what I'm looking for. I want to start my own, independent blog site where I can just write about the hobby. Only problem...I have no idea what I'm getting into. A writer, I am. A web designer, I am not. That said, anyone familiar with blogs, please post here or shoot me a PM if you care to walk me through it. This is something I've been wanting to do FOREVER and finally think I'm at the point where I can dedicate the time and resources to get this off the ground.

For reference, I LOVE this blog. If I could fashion mine around something like this, I would be beyond happy.
