Are your rays on tablets, sticks, disks, whatever? What about the new "Masivore Delight" from Hikari?

What prepared foods are they eating and how did you get the ray to accept the food?

NLS sinking and floating pellets.

Just starved for few days, leaving NLS sinking pellets on bottom, syphnoning tank clean at end of day, then repeating next day...

Couple days later, he was taking them in, maybe because they were soft by then......when they were hard, he would just ignore, but now eats as soon as they hit the bottom.

mix of things from pellets, frozen blood worms, frozen krill, m. prawns, etc.....varied diet is best.

for best results and get your rays breeding fast feed pellets the hikari sinking carnivor pellets are the best :D

the proof is in the pups :D

WOW if this is the case I should start getting them on pellets and see if T1 knows knows his stuff is is just full of ....  j/k kidding T1 but I guess if it worked for you I'm gonna try it too.

Anyway mine are currently feeding on market shrimp, and silversides....

I think a good balance is best, what Richard aka T1 forgot to tell you is that his rays also get a good quantity of prawns and mussels too, that they steal off his tiger fish.

mine eats floating pellets/shrimp/smelt.

i enjoy watching him eat floating pellets the most. splashing at the surface, causing all kinds of noise. back n forth, up n down. non stop til he realises no more food is left. even my endli got way more active since i started feeding more floating pellets.

MY RAYS GO NUTS OVER REAL FOOD.....
ALTHOUGH I DO GET THEM TO EAT PELLETS AS WELL......, A GOOD WAY TO GET THEM TO EAT PELLETS IS TO MAKE A HOLE IN A PRAWN AND STICK THEM INSIDE THE SHRIMP......, SLOWLY THEY WILL GET THE TASTE FOR THEM AND EVENTUALLY THEY START TO EAT THEM ON THEIR OWN......, A LITTLE STARVATION WILL ALWAYS WORK TOO.....

VARIETY IS BEST......., DONT RELY ON ANY ONE TYPE OF FOOD.......

MIX IT UP..... LIVE-FROZEN-PELLET....., AND YA CANT GO WRONG BECAUSE YOUR COVERING ALL THE BASES....

It's cheaper for me to feed smelt, shrimp, and fish fillets. Inject with a blend of pellets and you're set!
