Anyone good at ID on electric cats? Just got one yesterday, hoping he’s a smaller fella but of course will accommodate his needs

Isn't Charney 's microstoma about 2' currently?

I am worthless at ecat ID. 19 species and all look the same to me.

I have two e cats. one is true dwarf - paradoxogiais parvus. Based on the pictures I am pretty sure your cat's lateral line goes to far for that

My other cat is the dwarf of the giants - microstoma - I got him from Wes and dont' really know how to ID. Maybe Wes can for you.
My microstoma is by far my favorite fish in my fish room. Even as a "dwarf" he is a beast. He is probably 2 ft in length and thick. I have him in a 6 x 4 225g. Eventually I hope to do better for him.
