hi all, as ive said has onyone got one???? i have never seen one and have only now seen one looking on google.

i would love to hear from anyone who has one.

are they for sale in the hobby??????

thanks :popcorn::popcorn:

I had an 18" one in my old tank when i didnt realise how large they got, but i sold it to my local fish shop who have a 500G tank. Its was pushing 22" and looked amazing until they sold it on to someone in Scotland i bet is HUGE now.

It was a pleasure to keep, looked amazing (some said extremely ugly lol) had a lot of character, but unless you have a very large tank i wouldnt suggest it they are very active and eat a hell of a lot as im sure you know. But they are for sale in the hobby and i have seen a few now.
GL with finding one ;)

I used to have a few...they're very nice fish:D

thanks all, keep them coming.........

i have one normal id shark at the mo he was a freebee and is about 9inc, i have him in a cichlid setup (jags, black belts, jd, acars, etc etc) in my 8x2x2 i think he gets to more food than the jag cichlids.... lol

i have no plans on getting one (albino) they just get to big for me (shame they dont stay around 18inc)

just making a point i have not seen them around....... (could be just me)

Yes I had a large 12 inch one about 15 years ago. They seem to be smarter than the regular ir. Meaning my albino didn't smack into everything. Could have been indiviual fish though.

I had one b4 he was alone since his expensive in australia i sold him off incase he got too depressed been on his own.

when i was 6-7 years of age, my mom bought me an albino for my birthday so my others ID sharks have company in ma pond... then i had to leave the Philippines... but when i came back in 2007, damn! there huge!!! in my pond back in the Philippines i have 3 regular colored IDS, and 1 Albino and 2 plecs... albino and black one... i wish i could take a pic, but i'd have to fly back there! lol... ID's are awesome when they get huge... im guessing they r about 9-10 years old... amazing huh?
