Its a great price and the BTU number is pretty comparable to similar chillers of this size that are priced around 3 to 4 grand. Im just curious if anyone has ever used or seen this chiller brand in action.

basically I am looking for a decent sized chiller for the coming summer, so if you have any suggestions for a decent model or know of a used one, please let me know.

Its for my 1500 gallon system that gets to the 80s if i don't have fans constantly running.

Never used that one before.

I've been scoping out chillers as well (some of ours need replacement). I've been looking at the Delta Star chillers from Aqua-Logic.

You could keep that room cooler than the rest of the house

yea that's what I did last summer and was my original plan, but the heat problem is actually coming from my basement, the large pump on the protein skimmer is where my heat is coming from. The other reason for the chiller is I could control the temp swings allot better. My basement is just a old brick basement and when the temp outside changes my basement changes very quickly. I had to run my living room temp at about 68 degrees to keep my tank below 80 degrees during the peak of summer last year. On the other hand I could buy allot of electricity to cool my house for the price of a chiller, so im not completely sure what im gonna do yet. I just seen this chiller was pretty cheap.
