Hi, i'd really prefer people who actually have kept this cat to answer these general questions.

1. How fast does this catfish grow?
2. How is its temperament/aggressiveness usually?
3. How hardy is this species to water conditions?
4. What is the max temperature this cat can tolerate?
5. What have you fed this cat?
6. Do they take food from the surface?
7. How active are they? Details please.
8. Will they be fine in my 7.6ph water?
9. Will you help clean my fish tank on the weekends?:D

1. around normal about 1'' per month or so if we'll fed
2.not aggressive and likes others of its own kind but needs its own place to hide mine would bite other fish that looked into his hole so give plenty of places to hide
3.they can handle a wide range of water so pretty hardy
4.i wouldn't go above 84 but they like it high 70s to low 80s
5. wasn't picky at all when he was small he looked like a balloon when i fed the tank brineshrimp but later he like krill and beefheart but fish chinks and shrimp are better less fatty which is important with these fish as most have an eating proublem and they WILL eat small fish at night so be carefull
6.not useualy mine did once at night but he clung to the bottem when he came out dureing the day which wasn't that much but he did like going from a PVC tube to under a piece of driftwood a few times a day
7.mine would come out dureing the day when there was food but he liked to stay close to structure unless there was a nice piece of shrimp waiting for him out in the open but at night he was every where he was also shy when i first got him and hid alot but got used to the tank and came out more
8.we'll that is a little high if you adjusted it to it slowly you could proubly keep him at that but i kept mine a 7.1-7.2 which was high for him they like acidic water they can handle water around 5.5 but prefer it around 6.5 so it might have trouble at that PH but they can adapt
i really liked mine there a cool cat and they don't get big but they can fit some good sized fish in there mouths so be carefull

9. fly me out there and sure

:iagree: Pretty much exactly what he said, except I N E V E R see mine unless I actively hunt for him.

mine is a beast eats krill, beefheart, my own mix, and even a feeder. When I come home turn on the lights and the first drop of food is in its like bam im here to eat.

i had him in a dim tank that had alot of plants i think that helped alot being in group helps alot with being shy
