Anyone got large a. stalsbergi?

Not for sale, i dont want to uy a large one, would like to see more pics of larger specimens as google images doesnt have too much lol. Hoping one of you guys w/ a nice dslr has a 12 incher haha

Does anyone have or had one that got to 12 inch? I was told most likely 8-9 inch, but that may be the difference between living in my 70 for life or switching to a larger tank, mines litte, got loads of personality and will probably have to leave the 30 after another inch

2.5-3 inch currently

Really thick bodied compared to other cichlids ive had, festae, g. Brasiliensis gymno balzani, arcara threadfin, etc. Also has loads more personality, my festae does too but the others not so much.

Tankmates are 3x g. Brasiliensis, 1x festae (male i think), 1x green severum (acts as tank police, breaks up fights lol), and some bichir. 2x cb endli 2x f1 teugelsi. The stalsbergi is probably the most aggro

Hmm not accusing anyone here but are you the one that has that fish? Seems like the person who posted it the other knew what they were talking about. If it's not your fish or pic not cool.

Now on to the question stalsbergi get bigger than 8" around 14" is what I have read before. The saums are the green terrors that get 8-9"

My Biggest Stlasbergi is 6 pushing 7 if I had to guess. I'll try to snap a pic.

No its mine.. you mean i posted it? And seemed to know more? Ive just read and was told seperate conflicting info so double checking on here. Got mine from Rapps along w/ my 2 teugelsi about 2 and a half months ago

I was considering purchasing some stalsbergi from Rapps earlier this week and spoke with Alf Stalsberg about his opinion on their growth and behavior. A noteworthy source for sure. Anyways, he said stalsbergi tend to hit 7-8", but not much more and the ones that hit 10" are power fed through most of their lives.

Andinoacara rivulatus (gold/white saums) have been bred on farms for large size and bright colors. The ones that come from Asia are often juiced up on hormones for growth and color. The saums tend to get 8-10" with a few 12" out there.

What would be considered power-fed? I don't want to do this but my lil guy has gone from being the size of a quarter to that in a couple months and was told they're supposed to grow slower. I feed once daily w/ a one day break in the week, alternating between pellet (hikari cichlid gold, carni) and live black worms. There's also a huge pothos in the tank, when I tested this morning I'm still in the light yellow range of the api kit, 2-5 ppms nitrate, 0 trites 0 ammo.

Did Alf have anything significant to say about behavior? What made you not want them? Or are you still deciding? It took me a while too lol to figure out which cichlid to go w/ my bichirs. First I was thinking festae, then he ran out, so then I was gonna go w/ some s. Mapiritensis then discovered these guys.. I love that pale green on the cheeks
