Hi I have 4 pairs of dwarf seahorses in a 20 gallon with lots of macro algae and some live rock. Everything is going well so far but no breeding. Anyone able to help me on this?
id add several more pairs. apparently you can stuff them, with fry, into just a few gallons of water. so a 20 will hold a ton. with stellar water quality of course.
good luck man, hope you get some knocked up fellas soon.
I have H. Reidi, no dwarves yet until I get my 30 all set-up, and get a few more SH's.
I would add a few more pairs to your tank. Usually most dwarf tanks are about 5 gallons or less, the bigger it is the harder it is to feed, etc.
Btw, since you have macro and live rock (guessing it wasn't treated) then you may have hydroids. Even if your seahorses did have babies they might be eaten.
